Duncan is a proactive Solicitor and Salaried Partner who specialises in Commercial Property and rather uniquely combines together legal, commercial and industry experience. His passion for property is the consistent thread throughout his career.

A Cambridge University law graduate, he originally trained and qualified at a ‘magic circle’ law firm in the City. Prior to joining Murray Hay in late 2020, he practised for several years in a large regional commercial firm within the South East.

Clients rate his seasoned commercial acumen and unwavering focus on customer service, honed during seven years as the Director of a multi branch estate agency covering prime, central and south west London. He has a personal understanding of and affinity with property investors, being one himself.

Duncan acts for a wide spectrum of clients comprising high net worth individuals, family offices, pension funds and other institutional investors, property companies and banks, amongst others.

His work involves advising on all aspects of real estate, including landlord and tenant matters, portfolio management, acquisitions, disposals, auctions, secured lending, property development and rural/agricultural land. He also has significant experience in dealing with large scale projects and complex transactions.
